- loonheart thieves a batch of catnip from the medicine cat den after finding himself unable to sleep late in the afternoon after several failed attempts. he shares the goods with minkchaser, brackentail, and - eventually - poppygaze the next day. after getting high on the catnip, the four end up in a pile in rookstar's den. the spotted warrior faces verbal repercussions from poppygaze as a result. - the spotted warrior attends the first gathering of the rp. he concludes that it was a mess quickly afterwards, though he found amusement throughout most of it. (23 moons)
- loonheart and brighteyes talk early in the morning about the gathering, with the talk soon steering toward the she-cat's thoughts on rookstar. the chat is cut short, leaving the tom wondering about the two's relationship. (23 moons)
- loonheart accompanies hailpaw and poppygaze on a herb patrol after following the apprentice out into the territory. near the end of it, hailpaw ends up acting up for reasons unknown to the tom, but the tom sets the apprentice straight after a small dispute. (24 moons)

- loonheart is accompanied by his father, condorclaw, while out hunting. despite their sour relationship, the black and white tom listens to his father's worries while they were hunting together, and couldn't help but feel bad for the tom. during this conversation, condorclaw hints that he may leave the clans for a 'simpler life' (as to what that means, loon is clueless), but loonheart doesn't lash out. he instead persuades his father to stay, unwilling to see him leave just like that, no matter how bad their relationship was. this cuts the conversation short, as loonheart abruptly leads the hunting back to the camp, feeling as though he was not able to comfort his father. - he attends a patrol along with twigbounce, blueflight, and pantherclaw, with a mission to hunt geese. loonheart, finding the goal rather unsatisfactory, instead attempts to hunt a vole, only to be interrupted when a goose slammed into his shoulder. the two creatures battle shortly before the splotched feline retreats with the angry bird on his tail. luckily, twigbounce saves him by attacking the goose. embarrassed, loonheart thanks her and helps her carry her kill to the camp. when he gets there, he curls underneath a fern and sleeps there for most of the night. when the rain gets too bad, he retreats to his nest in the warriors' den.
