- grizzlykit is apprenticed at seven moons on the night of a gathering. he is given brighteyes as a mentor. shortly after the ceremony, the cragclan party leaves to attend the gathering. the moonlight meeting is short and sweet, and the party returns not too late into the night. the newly-apprenticed grizzlypaw settles down in his new nest, and is woken the following day for his first lesson along with dipperpaw. he is asked what were his fears by brighteyes, and he truthfully answers that he is afraid of water. before the lesson can actually begin, the trio is called back home. (7 moons)
- after he is apprenticed, grizzlypaw makes nighttime adventures are regular thing for him, especially since he usually gets away with it. one night, he finds himself near the warrenclan border and encountering a trespassing kittypet known as nettle. determined to service his clan, grizzlypaw finds himself battling the she-cat. the fight ends with him backed up on a tree, but she doesn't kill him. instead, she offers to teach him how to fight in her style, impressed by how long he managed to hold up. he reluctantly agrees due to brighteyes' lack of training up until then, and nettle leaves. tired and injured, grizzlypaw travels further from camp unknowingly and falls asleep on the warrenclan and cragclan border. (8 moons)
- grizzlypaw wakes up on the border in the morning, and the agony of his wounds hits him like a truck. rainpaw, the medicine cat of warrenclan, finds him in his injured state and helps heal his worst wound. for once, the tuxedo tom dropped his pride and allowed her to do so. at the end, he is thankful for the she-cat, for he was sure he would've died if left alone. grizzlypaw promises not to tell anyone about her, and they both exchange their names before they leave for their own homes. - after being treated, the two make for their own separate ways. grizzlypaw stops at a shallow pool on his way to his camp to clean his wounds, and then makes his way straight home. unwilling to face any confrontations, he attempts to sneak into the apprentice's den, only to be stopped by pantherclaw. she demands where he was, and who attacked him. grizzlypaw lies, and she then suggests that he was attacked by a kittypet - which was the truth. this causes conflict between the two, but the argument is short-lived and pantherclaw leaves the den, and grizzlypaw goes to the medicine cat's. - grizzlypaw is visited in the medicine cat's den by brighteyes. she apologizes for not being their to train them, and subdued, the tuxedo tom accepts the apology meekly despite expressing his frustration earlier during the fight with nettle. she then says that she'll be taking him out to train when he gets better, which genuinely lifts his mood. - the brown tuxedo tom wakes up in the middle of the night to get food from the freshkill pile, and notices pantherclaw is up. he avoids her for the most part, and returns to the medicine cat's den after his meal. a few moments later, pantherclaw goes to apologize, which surprises grizzlypaw. he warily accepts the apology, and apologizes in turn for being rude to his superior. - grizzlypaw is healed by a grumpy poppygaze. his stomach wound is retreated, and his shoulder and eye are treated as well. no notable conversation happens, besides the fact that poppygaze saw through his 'it was a loner' lie and made him admit that he was attacked by a kittypet. good job. - grizzlypaw wakes up to the combined scent of crag, warren, and glade and leaves the medicine cat's den to investigate. he is frightened somewhat to find that warren and glade forces were inside of the camp and hops upon a rock for a better view of the spectacle. just as he does that, all attention is drawn to shade as he kills a kit. the tuxedo tom's fear turns into shock, and he attempts to dart out of the camp in the confusion. before he is able to, he runs into a familiar face: rainpaw. the two leave the camp together and talk, calming each other down in the process. when warrenclan leaves the camp, grizzlypaw bids the medicine cat apprentice farewell. - grizzlypaw goes to train with brighteyes and twigbounce. they teach him the hunting crouch, and shortly after the lesson, he and twigbounce go to hunt. he quickly makes his first catch, a vole, and expresses excitement and pride at this. he goes to try to make his second catch, but fails. he isn't discouraged by the lost however, and is eager to wield his newly acquired hunting skill later on. - after maplepaw's apprentice ceremony, grizzlypaw joins pantherclaw and dipperpaw for a training session. they head to the boulders and are given instructions for a spar atop them. the tuxedo apprentice and the deputy clash before the spar's beginning, and once the spar begins against dipperpaw, he finds no problem in fighting dirty. he copies several moves he had seen prior to the battle. the spar quickly becomes an actual fight, but dipperpaw stops it before more damage is wreaked. by the end of the fight, grizzlypaw had several scratches across him, but felt satisfaction that pantherclaw had seen what he could do.
